Set around 16km north of Paphos this typical Cypriot village that still strongly holds onto its Cypriot values, is very popular with tourists from all over the world, however is home to the largest community of British Expats in Cyprus. The centre of the village still shows signs of Cyprus from years gone by, where the olde worlde stone houses adorn the streets with local flowers trailing the walls. The locals chatting and sipping greek coffee on the roadside definitely highlights the Cypriot presence here. The local hospitality is overwhelming. Call in at the very popular Grande Café just of the main street where Gabriel and his family will make you feel extremely welcome, their menu suits everyone. Try Savvas Grill for that traditional Cypriot meze, make sure you don’t eat for a week before as the food just keeps coming. You will find most shops in the village, bakeries, butchers, supermarkets, banks, hairdressers, nail bar, and local bars to have a quick drink in.
